We have tourists coming for 10 years now. Villa is rebuilt on the foundations of an old house (built in 1907) and was finished in 2006. It has been built having in mind all the needs of our guests.
Family is international and people are loving. Evening gatherings on the big terrace are possible, preferable and customary. Several scans from the guest book are in the section impressions.
Position of the Villa Mandic enables its guests to spend their vacation time enjoying the reaches that Dubrovnik can offer.
In the vicinity few beaches are located. One of them is sandy (10 minutes walk) and there are several rocky ones on the stretch from "Gorica" to "Boninovo" (15 minutes walk). Smaller, more private sea accesses are on the entire seaside of "Gorica" (10 minutes walk). Big sandy beach is located in "Uvala Lapad" (15 minutes walk).
5 minutes away is the Sports center and there you can find tennis grounds, football grounds, table tennis, etc.
The old city is 20 minutes away. To climb to the "Srđ" hill it will take about an hour of an easy walk over the serpentines. Do see old and undisturbed forts. "Petka" Hill is situated on the vicinity of the villa, untouched paradise nature, covered with dalmatian plants and many small paths and unique view on the sea and other parts of Dubrovnik.
We would like to suggest a stroll on the old town walls. It takes 1-2 hours of walk, 7 museums, the oldest pharmacy in Europe "Mala Braca", Cathedral, churches and monasteries, theater, etc.
Dubrovnik has a rich history. Some facts are well known, but some are rarely mentioned. For example, Dubrovnik authorities never decided important issues during the south wind and in the days followed by holidays; the Duke was elected for one month period, and during that time he wasn't allowed to exit the town walls; why are the walls facing the old town on the fort "Lovrijenac" thin; we want to made you a "friend" of the city and our family.
Exchange office, rent a scooter, rent a car, store, coffee shop, bakery... All is within a 5 minute walk, allowing you to do the daily chores without any problem.
